It's just that I've now got a 1TB M.2 sitting there doing nothing.
Just to say thank you for all of your help, I'll try to go through all the replies and leave "thank yous".
I decided after being told to use WinTree to find the bloat, which is what I did, and...
Since Paul Black posted about WizTree and I found out that Steam had saved 180GB or something, I decided to move those files to D:
As C: is now OK and is no longer nearly full I am going to use...
I will, I'll copy and paste the relevant bits in the post, having just installed a new Graphics Card as well...
diskpartlist disk (it will list all drives. Identify the SSD drive number)select...
Excellent, thank you very much
I do not want the OS on the new SSD, I just want to copy all the data from D: to it and then make it the D: drive.
I just need to know if the programs on C: drive that has the OS with data on the...
Well,
Using WizTree it looks like Steam is putting all the files on C drive, 200GB of them!
Also Garmin has 50GB
Don't know if I can do anything about the Steam files though.
I've now...
I know, it was less than 50% and all of a sudden it’s using most of the SSD
i’ve not managed to find out what causing it.
What does MSR do?

When you say data, do you mean software other than Windows?
I don’t have any data on the C drive, just all the software.

edit (Also do not know why this is showing 3 partitions, when Disk Management shows 4).
I have to admit I do not understand this bit

When I look at Disk Management I don't know what partitions are doing what.

I can see the EFI bit, but which is the MSR...
After, it boots OK, but I cannot run reagentc disable/able
(I don't even know what WinRe does)
- - - Updated - - -
Oh well,
Just tried Reagentc /info and it said disabled
Yep, changed to EUFI in boot menu, it all boots up ok
I'm not quite ready to instal the new M.2 yet, so I need to still remove the SATA from 1 and 2 and do the enable?
I've tried to do it already but it will not enable, I assume it's because the 1...
OK,. I have run the mbr2gpt ( mbr2gpt /convert /allowfullOS) and it's come up with

OK, I have done this and can see that "system" is now on C drive.
So now I should be OK to use aomei to convert C to GPT?
I can't create a system image, haven't got a storage available big enough. (1,200,000 GB or something?)

Can I run these without doing a system image backup?
371231
I'll print that out and try it.
I tried to convert disk with aomei but it came up with this warning, so I didn't do it.

Current SSD is MBR, I believe it needs to be GPT to enable the EUFI which Win 11 requires for safe boot.
It's this sentence I am having trouble with as my OS SSD is legacy
To change these...
Hi,
I know this has been asked before, so any link to an answer would be appreciated.
I currently have a Crucial MX500 500 GB formatted to NTFS but want to install a Samsung 980 1 TB PCIe 3.0...
If there is an error, will it try to keep booting into RE and I'll continue to get an error on boot?
- - - Updated - - -
Just run it and it started in RE anyway, so just I hit continue to...
What does that actually do?
