Right. Well I used to download everything from MUC (generic), and those always showed the tray, hence the panel. I don't get mine from ASRock because they're years behind with the drivers.

I decided to go back to using HDA drivers. Is something wrong on my side, or the Realtek HD Audio Manager (and its tray icon) don't exist anymore? I'm using the latest version of the driver - 8612.
...
I found this - ** REMOVED **
But isn't it only HDA compatible? Thanks.
My bad, misread. I have no idea where to get from 8606 (UAD), is it available yet?
Here you go - Microsoft Update Catalog
You'll have to extract the content of the .cab file and update the driver through Device Manager.
Just updated to 8603 through Device Manager (UAD), everything seems totally fine. The only thing that got reset was the volume slider to 67%. The Realtek Audio Console works fine.
Alright. Getting on with it. Thanks for the heads up!
I tried updating to 8606 via Device Manager (using the .zip from the link provided above) but I got a message that I already have the best drivers for my system installed. Anybody have a clue what I...
I see. Thank you. But is the 8606 for HDA only or there's an UAD package somewhere? I can't locate such.
Guys, what's the latest UAD version of Realtek's drivers? Is it 8591, 8606? Or these are only for the HDA folks? Currently running on 8586 but would like to upgrade. Do they release both variants...
Where can we check for the latest UAD driver versions, apart from this thread? Station-drivers?
Thanks!
Right. I was wondering if that method led to the same result with the UAD drivers - I know it worked for the legacy ones. Thanks for clearing this up for me.
@pillainp - Glad to hear you worked...
Sure thing! I had the same issue as the person I replied to. Also, Ed, I was wondering, what is the process for updating the UAD drivers? Do I just download a newer version (when available) and...
Hey! I think I can help. Download this:
Realtek HD Audio (UAD) Drivers Version R2.8x (8586) WHQL(Asrock)
Unzip the file, locate the Setup.exe (main folder), double-click and install the...
Hey everyone,
I followed the guide on installing the UAD version of Realtek's drivers. I installed them successfully, however when I went to the Microsoft Store to download the Realtek Audio...
@PJLLB - I have done all that, and then some. I've tried all possible drivers. I know that they're capable, that's what's bothering me. I think it has something to do with tweaking the codecs, but...
@PJLLB ASRock Z170 Pro4
Bump, anyone?
Hello guys, this is my first post here.
I'm experiencing occasional stutter when watching 4K (even 720p/1080p @ 60 FPS) videos both on YouTube and files downloaded on my SSD, with MPC-HC. On...
Thanks for the reply!
So, it's a thing? Those results are indeed clickable right? I installed the same Windows that I had 20 hours ago and it worked, no clue what happened this time. Thanks for...
Hello guys,
I don't know what I did, but nothing happens when I click on those two things in the search bar:
View image: wtf
I reinstalled Windows a few hours ago, and IIRC pressing those...
Download Windows 10 Build 10586.103
Downloading this fails every time. Well, it doesn't actually fail, it downloads a fraction of the ISO and it's finished. But when I go to the file it's like 300...
Hello guys,
I hope I'm on topic here - what is the latest/most stable build of Win 10 x64 at the moment and where can it be downloaded?
Thanks in advance,
