I ended up reinstalling Windows 7 from the disc that came with the laptop and installing updates until it upgraded to Windows 10.

All sorted.

Yes it has the Win7 product key sticker - I will do this tomorrow

Hi - I took the free upgrade from Win7 to 10. All worked fine. After a few weeks I now get the Activate Windows watermark. When I try to do this is settings in update and security nothing happens....
