After 3 attempts of help from Microsoft techies online which included rolling back to a previous version of windows 10, none of which worked. I resorted to reinstalling my Bitdefender anti virus....

Thanks for your feedback Eagle, yes it's enabled but the drive is not working normally, the activity light won't stop flashing, there is definately some issue with the usb.
