No.
In fact, I don't see any of those boot... files.
The only file is the NTUSER.DAT file.

Zinou,
I installed a newer video driver.
I uninstalled Avira.
I ran that xbootmgr thingy but I have no idea if it was successful. I left it alone for a few hours but I have no way of verifying if...
OK, I'll report back.
Thanks again for all your help.

I did exactly per your instructions but got the same error message.
Sorry, don't mean to be a nuisance.
Ed
OK, that I did understand, thanks.
Ed
Sorry, I can't figure out how that works.
When I right-click on GlobalLogger and select New>Key, it creates a new folder below the E51BB... folder.
No, I did not run xbootmgr.exe!
Here is what I have under GlobalLogger:
It's here.
Reporting back.
I ran several boot traces. Every time when I tried to open that .etl file a window popped up, telling me that all events were lost.
I installed that new Realtek driver but the boot time did not decrease.
As to a newer BIOS, it seems that HP does not have one for my PC model running on Win 10.
The driver on the HP website is older than the one I have installed.
OK, looks like we're getting somewhere, great!
I'll report back.
Thanks,
Ed

When I said "the first window" I meant that boot trace window. How do I open that?
Excuse my stupidity, how do I open that first window?
OK, I installed that CrystalDiskInfo package and both drives come back as GOOD!
Ed
Thanks a lot, very much appreciated.
Ed
Here's the .etl zip
www.transfernow.net/26jdd4i1lxku
OK, found it.
I don't know why it was not included in that zip. I'm just uploading it now.
Thanks for catching it.
Ed
That is the file that I zipped!
Here's the file name: EDGAR-PC.02-08-2018.09-18-49.Boot_1.etl.NGENPDB.zip
www.transfernow.net/17hfm9i613b7
OK, found the folder, compressed it and need to send to which email address?
OK, that worked, thanks a lot for your continued help.
I am trying to find that file but, so far, without luck.
Ed
I just mentioned in my last post that nothing happens when I type in WPR!
There are no programs popping up!
When I type WPR into the start menu, nothing happens. For a split second a window seems to pop up but it's gone immediately. Looks like this thing doesn't work.
