Funny thing!
I downloaded twice on my own win 11 PC, same result, did not open at all.
Then I downloaded on my wife's win 10 PC, installed and ran without a hitch.
HDD comes back 100% in both...

Nothing happens. That file has a strange extension: hdsentinel_trial_setup.zip.opdownload

I have downloaded that HD Sentinel zip but win can't open it.

If I clone to a new SSD the mysterious problem that the PC seems to have might be cloned over, right? And then what?
Probably need to install win 10 from scratch, right?

Ok, that seems to be a solution.
However, the PC was running reasonable fast as recent as about 6 months ago. Something inside must have changed at that time.

I don't understand why I should install a bigger drive. It's a 1TB drive, isn't that big enough? Enlarging C to 200 GB ought to be good enough, or?

Megahertz: Yes, I did the chkdsk, CrystalDisk, scannow and everything came back fine.
That does mean that the HDD is still halfway decent, right?

I found out that my wife's Thunderbird profiles use up most of the space on C.
How about if I increased the C partition to 200GB and moved the profiles to the E partition?
Would tat help?

The PC was purchased new about 5-6 years ago.

I tried the chkdsk command but it's not running because the volume is used by another process.

No, I don't run any third party stuff and I do not have any other Bluetooth devices.
