I have just set up my machine with a clean install of Windows 10.

After having spent the last 2 days or so installing all the programs and tools, and applying smaller registry hacks...

sfc fixed the issue.

As expected, it also reseted the visual style. I will reapply the changes, one by one and see if I can reproduce the error and - if so - what has caused it in the first place....
