NVIDIA's drivers tend to cause issues, so I had that happen on its own few weeks back, prior to this issue arising.
The issue re-occurred again a few days back, after I had cleanly re-installed the NVIDIA graphics card. The issue came back, but it did on the second user account that gets used about once a month.

Did that just before I saw your reply -- will keep you posted on this thread if the issue decides to come back.
It's back!
Restarted my PC today, and noticed I couldn't click in an area the size of Start menu (SM) again. The issue is back (yay...)
This time, I decided to experiment a little bit. I...
Also, with regards to malware:

Thanks for all the replies! I will definitely try out the methods you've all mentioned and then post the results here.
Now, I felt the need to post this, because the issue has not yet re-occurred...
Hi there,
For over 2 weeks now I seem to be having an issue whereby after some time of using the PC I cannot interact with any programs, the desktop, icons in a 'square' region at the bottom left...
Thank you! Have a nice day!
I do not have an audio problem in the context of "Audio is not playing". The problem is in the fact that Volume Mixer will not show a muted app. This issue has been around since Windows 7.
If you...
Hello!
On my PC I've got a game called Banished that I muted once from the Volume Mixer, because I wanted to listen non in-game music instead.
So now, when I want to re-enable it - I can't. Why?...
Here's how one can fix this issue:
1. Open this and start at #6
2. Install this. Search for files & folders that contain the name "Photoshop" and/ or "Adobe". Delete those (unless they're yours,...
Issue is now resolved. Thanks for being part of the journey to solving it!
Didn't find any component store corruptions.
Also, just to let you know, I came upon a post on Adobe Forums indicating that PhotoShop (which I already uninstalled) could be causing the issue. Is...
Hi! Tried it before, didn't work. Tried again. Didn't work either. Anything else? Bring on the artillery!
Hi, thanks for the quick response!
I don't have it set to Single Click. It is on Double Click.
As mentioned, this happens only with select folders.
Is there anything else you could have me...
Hi there!
So, diving straight in:
The situation:
When I double click (or click once and press Enter) a folder, it opens twice. This happens most of the time. Here's a video showing this...
Alright, thanks! A little more curiosity:
a) What exactly is the info it registers?
b) How many times can it be activated?
Thanks in advance!
OK. How is the information stored - as in, how will it know that on this computer Windows 10 has been activated before?
I'm having problems on Windows 10 that I never experienced on Windows 7. I've tried reinstalling and resetting Windows 10, to no avail.
Hi,
so here goes:
If I install* Windows 7 atop Windows 10, and then reinstall* Windows 10, will it activate itself or not?
Note - all installs are clean installs.
Thanks in advance!
