ok, but I've never "cloned" a drive. I image those 4 partitions, and since I have multiple internal drives with OS partitions, I can "restore" from from either one of them to any one of the others...
I want to make sure I'm interpreting things accurately. Are the terms "copy", "image", and "backup" interchangeable? If we wish, we we can just clone a partition, instead of an "entire" disk,...
Since way back I think I've misled myself about cloning vs. image/backup. I was unsure of incremental and differential. For one thing, I wondered "will that include settings changes"? I ran across...
Example: 320g ssd, 240g free space. How do I configure things to only image the 80g data/OS files, and not include the unused space? Or would I be better off shrinking to an OS partition just over...
I made a mistake. I meant Google Photos.
When the initial prompt on the desktop came up, I think I chose something related to transferring files. That probably needs to be undone, so I can start over, but I can't find that setting.
Looking the fastest method to transfer all media files from Google Photos directly to my PC. I assume that would be by usb?
When I plug in, I get this

I don't know how to proceed. ...

It worked. As soon as the re-rebuild began, the encrypted partition appeared on the list of indexed locations.

Thanks for confirming.
Can a thumb drive be used as a index file location?
C, D & K are OS partitions. E, F, I & L are data partitions, the RAW G, H, J and M are encrypted partitions, which, when mounted, become N, O, P, AND Q.
I can't place a title on a drive that...
Is this kind of a hit or miss exercise? I did the "continue" thing with the disclaimer before I switched locations. E;\ and N:\ were both on the list. Now that I have I:\ as the location, do you...
Agreed, not gonna go for it. CCleanerDU.dll gone, but I am curious what the end game is. Trying to sell something?
(G:\), (H:\), & (M:\) are encrypted partitions. (E:\), (F:\), & (L,:\) are unencrypted data partitions.

But this shows (M:\), but not (L,:\). which is opposite of what is...
Is it time to unblock (0x80070643)
What should I think about this? Happened once before recently. That time it said one driver. Sounds a bit fishy. It says "resolve". Is it gonna tell me how and what will be resolved before...
Thanks so much. Reg edit worked, but now I have an issue that I've wrestled with in the past.
Is there trick to get the index to recognize an encrypted drive. When I do a rebuild, I never know...
Should I delete the index file before the registry stuff?
Hi Brink,
I want to relocate my Index file to another internal drive I.

I did it in the past, and I now need to redo it. but now when I begin the process and return to that...
Restored a OS backup image to a backup Win 10 PC. Ran the troubleshooter.

Sorry i didn't get back sooner.
I tried running this and nothing happened
ICACLS N:\ /L /T /SETINTEGRITYLEVEL MED
I want it to apply to the entire N:\ directory, but I tried it this way, and...
Glad I asked. Thanks!
What does this do? Whats the benefit?

@denis
What a relief to get this done. :sleep:Thanks once again!
Sorry, see my edited previous post. I forgot to add the image which explains my remark.
Yes, I just did it again but nothing has changed.
