Sorry if I wasn´t clear. It is the Windows Backup that fails. It does not start, just produces this error message.
Upgraded my laptop from W7 yesterday. Bup now fails with 0x80070002 because it cannot find the file, very useful. What can I do, besides get a third party program?
Thanks for any help.

I have not made any upgrade. I have a virgin retail installation of version 10240. Updates have been installed of course.
Two versions of CPU-Z and one of GPU-Z have mysteriously disappared from my computer without any trace a couple of weeks ago. Anyone else who have experienced anything similar?
Learned something new today. I was under the belief all W10 sold in Europe were "N" versions. Apparently they are not. I have a Swedish version on another computer, which temporarily is placed aside....
Thanks! There is nothing there saying it is a N version. My Media Player is version 12. I guess I just have to consider myself a lucky owner of a US copy. Reason some of the other apps are not there...
Thanks, excellent response! Much appreciated. Made an image. Not sure how to find out if I should download an ISO for Windows 10 N or Windows 10. I would expect I should have a "N" version, but there...
Did a repair install and it appears all work just fine. A couple of icons disappeared from my desktop, but I have no clue what they were. At least, basics work fine and my programs too.
Any reason...
Hi,
Need some advice here for my Pro installation. On my ordinary user account, 5 apps simply stopped working. Nothing happens when I try to start them, nothing in the Event Log either. In my admin...
Did it again and now it worked just fine.
Congrat's Mike!
This last test was for the Intel 750.
Quite so. I like the Z170. It performs very consistently and it feels responsive. More worried over the X99. It is not very consistent, it seems, and as seen in the previous posts, there are some...
Below the results without Rapid. Samsung has developed quite a nice feature with Rapid. Though the numbers above are not the true read and write performances, it seems Rapid improves the experienced...
Almost forgot. Here are the results form the SSD benchmarking. It would be interesting to get some comments on all these results.
X99:
49577 49578
Here Z170:
49579 49580
3 1/2 hours of stress test finalized with the Z170. Very consistent and very straight lines. Somewhat cooler than the X99 with a CPU average temp of 56 C.
I may add it appears the X99 CPU is a bit on/off, either running at 3.6 GHz or 1.2. Nothing else.
Stress test was somewhat a surprise to me. The X99 maxed out at around 65 C (for CPU) also in FPU test and most curves were fairly straight. There were some peculiarities though:
- Like once every...
Ok, have been doing some testing...
First the little file copy test. Copied 6 x 1GB pictures (total: 6.09 GB) from one folder to another on the same internal SSD:
- Intel 5930k on Asus X99-A with...
Thanks! Is running AIDA64 stress test right now. Will then run its benchmarks and the some real Life testing. Likely to try RealBench depending on outcome from planned tests.
I should have yes, but it was in the middle of the night, and having done this with the other computer without problems, I just clicked exit and save and OK. Got a short glimpse of the settings...
It already seems clear something is seriously wrong with the X99. Unzipping a file was done with <10 MB/s...
It seems Prime 95 does not support W10 and my processors.
Thanks! :)
Two new builds; one with 5930K on Asus X99-A with an Intel 750 PCIe Add-In card and one with 6700K on Asus Z-170 Pro Gaming with an Samsung 850 Evo. I need to stress test them, and bench mark the...
