Don't panic!
Use testdisk (or dd_descue if drive is physically damaged). Yes it takes forever, it's a 2 TB drive. I think testdisk can rebuild the MFT or MBR.
You need to turn off Fast/Hybrid startup though to avoid filesystem corruption.
I was thinking of doing the same thing, I have 128 GB SSD on C with windows 7. I was thinking of this procedure:
— create image of C: partition with macrium reflect
— restore image to new SSD

What's the point of leaking something that is still readily available? I mean it's not hard to get an official 10130, so why the hassle of leaking a 10135? Just to prove you can do it?

I like windows 10 when I have now tried it almost a year or so. It's easy to start with if you come from windows 7 (the still by far biggest OS in terms of users), but it has some nice improvements...
I bought the motherboard in 2006, it's a P6N Sli Platinum mobo. It's 9 years old.
Just changed to quad core this year. The old E6600 still did run okayish for office work and many normal tasks....
Just if you try a dual boot setup with windows 10, be sure to turn off "fast startup" in power options: Re: be careful, Win 8 may cause file system issues...: PC Talk Forum: Digital Photography...

Yes, I get that, but even my father has started to hate the ask toolbar, although he has no idea how it was installed. I would imagine this generates a lot of bad will towards those crap companies.

I have Geforce 460 and I had to install driver 344.11 to get build 10130 to work. The latest driver wouldn't install on my system. Geforce 400 is not that old imo...

With regard to this, is there a way to run windows 10 on a flash drive for testing? It would be much easier to run a live version like you can do with linux, to just test the hardware compatibility....
No, but on the other hand, why fix something that ain't broken?
Ditto here. Running a Q6700 at 2.67 GHz in socket 775with both win7 and ten without any problems. This is my main setup and after I replaced the Dual core for a quad I have no complaints at all.

I can't understand why anyone can not want the start menu. That's how we have started programs since windows 95 or so. Maybe the charms menu is nice if you have a touch screen, but otherwise I think...
Good thing. The whole model of pushing junk on people should be changed, my parents don't understand why they have to look for the smaller button instead of pushing the obvious one.
I learned this the hard way: if you dual boot 7/10, turn off hybrid (fast) startup:

This happens to me as well. I think it happens if you install windows ten without the separate 350 MB partition for recovery.
It will be stuck in a repair loop and when you try to repair it it...
