After doing a little research on my own I have discovered that the ASMMAP64.sys is not a stand alone driver that can be updated.
It is however part of the ATK app that Asus provides for...

Nope. I rolled the driver back and it failed on the very next boot.
Btw....it doesn't fail on a reboot. But only when it boots from a complete shutdown.

I am indeed using that driver.
I will rollback and post the outcome.
