I agree. I wanted to give this client an upgrade path for the future.
I have these parts coming in today. Can't wait to get it on the bench and start testing.
I figured as much haha. I'll post the scores of the Ryzen 2400G when the build is complete.
I'm doing an upgrade for a client and the donor/upgrade machine is a 3Ghz Core 2 Duo with a massive GTX 280. I'm about to install WIndows 10 on a SSD for the new build since the parts are on the way....
My boss was one of the lucky few who won a 8086K from Intel. He asked me to spec a machine out for him and this is my thoughts. It's going to be a workstation/VM machine and he is not a gamer so I...
I’m debating going 1070 Ti to hold me over till Touring comes down in price and all the features are available. I’ve been happy with my RX580 for the little gaming I do so a 1070 Ti would be a huge...
Looking at all the benchmarks today I have decided to go with a 1080Ti for my next build. I'm finally getting a great graphics card in the next few months and I'm so excited. 2700X/1080Ti build will...
This explains so much. My RX580 in my home PC and RX570 in my work desktop have been driving me nuts with weird issues for awhile and it's always when one of my monitors is off.

I have the 1700 Thinkcentre and a 1700X Dell rig now. My goal with the A12 rig was I have R3 1300X from a never completely build and I was just looking for cheap AM4 hardware that had the option of a...
Lenovo's outlet has a habit of shipping the wrong computer. I won in this case. They sent me the 1700 machine instead of the A12.
Today is a good day! I ordered this ThinkCentre last week and received this amazing machine instead! It has a 512GB M.2 Samsung PM981 NVME SSD as the primary drive! Total steal for $388! Lenovo does...
It's interesting that the rumors are saying the 9th Gen i7 is going to ditch hyper-threading. I'm curious if by disabling HT that the clock speed will improve.
Hi friends. I am shopping around for a Linux server/workstation to compliment my PC. Not going with a dedicated GPU as this machine will be headless as I will be remoting into it at home and on the...
Alright my PC is back up. Put in my backup drive and was able to get the M.2 to mount and cloned the backup drive to the M.2. Didn't lose anything important so that's good.
I use Acronis. I have a clone on a 2.5" SSD as backup. I'll have to switch them out tonight.
I edited my post. Something with the update went haywire. Just checked and BIOS is not seeing my SSD.
April Creators Update messed up my Ryzen 1700X rig. Machine posts but won't load Windows. I can't even get a recovery USB to boot. This not good. I'm not positive but it may have toasted my M.2 SSD....
Applied Thermal paste in the Dell because the temps seemed off and they were. The factory thermal paste covered the whole CPU and glued it to the heatsink so when I pulled it out the CPU came out...
I'm really excited about Gen 2 Ryzen. I foresee a new motherboard and CPU for my birthday.
I bought some upgrades and had to rip off the back plastic cover on my Dell to get the power plug to fit.
I got another GTX 970 from a co worker for benchmarking purposes. It had a ACool 970 Waterblock/backplate on it that I removed and put the fan assembly back on. Anyone here need a 970 Waterblock?...
The stock Dell OEM motherboard is a B350 board with only 2 RAM slots and no overclocking options.
This is the one I ordered.
ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING AM4 AMD B350 SATA 6Gbs USB 3.1 HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard - Newegg.com
I can't leave good enough alone. I ordered a Fractal Design Focus G Case, Asus ROG B350 Gaming motherboard, 240 AIO Cooler, and a 750W PSU for my Dell Ryzen rig that hasn't even arrived yet. I will...
