Finally, found a solution (not ideal but whatever). On audio settings, go and check "Disable all enhancements"

I thought for sure I tried that before, and maybe I did. But with the latest driver...

Nevermind, got the latest to install - but did not fix the loud sound after pause problem...

I have the same issue - loud sound after pausing. Admittedly, I did not read all 51 pages of this thread, however I did try to install the latest driver linked on the front page.
