I looked into this a while back and i think it revolves around files with the .MHT extension and only EDGE can speaky that lingo, Outlook opens the hyperlink in that format.

Yeah sure, just buy a license, you can either upgrade or preferably clean install.

Do you have hardware acceleration turned on somewhere?
Are you doing a ground up install on an inplace upgrade? Try installing with internet disconnected, it might be downloading a duff driver.
