Cheers Mike, thanks.
Agree. I actually have an issue that I just discovered today....have to contact them somehow, as I'm sure my 1-year tech support is long over.
Out of all the free services I use(d), Macrium is the number one and the reason why I bought it. To provide such a great program with so many options for free, I had to buy it and support their...
It's always something, Steve... :-)
Now I just have one last problem: I have a hidden folder leftover on an external drive I need to get rid of. It was made when I initially tried to robocopy all the data over from the old data drive,...
I'm happy too! Was sweating it there for a bit.......... :chuckle:
Me too! :-)
Thanks for the tip IronZorg89. Unfortunately, I've manually re-done everything to (sort of) the way I had it before, so not able to test your fix. But thanks just the same.
Well, I changed old data drive letter H: to V: and this popped up:
238384
So, I completely ignored that and changed new data drive letter T: to H: and windows complied. Then, I refreshed the...
Thanks Steve. I've already put all the data on the new drive - it's just a matter of swapping the drive letters so Windows looks at the new drive for the data. I'll be doing it shortly. If Windows...
Actually, I have the new T: drive in a hot swap bay, so I could try this:
Go into Disk Management, remove the drive letter from failing drive H: and assign it to new drive T:
Think that will...
Yes, that will be good.
Now I have another question:
I have to replace the H: data drive with this new one, because it's failing. What's going to happen with Windows when I
- Shut down the...
No, I have not tried mounting it. I'm in the middle of the restore, so can't try that right now.
Right, that's what I'm thinking I have to do when it's finished. It's just that this is a LOT of...
right - I can't seem to get what I want......
Question: Anyone ever tried to restore a File & Folder Backup to a different drive?
Restoring a file and folder backup - KnowledgeBase v7 - Macrium Reflect Knowledgebase - KnowledgeBase v7 -...
Thanks Keith. Yes, I've always had that Robocopy box checked to "allow". It's never been an issue until v7.2. Version 7.1 was always able to delete "extra files" when running Robocopy, without...
So, I finally updated to v7.2 on a production machine, on which, I also use Robocopy.
Previous versions of Macrium always allowed Robocopy to delete older images, but now, v7.2 is giving me fits...
You can check the logs to see if they were affected. I make differentials and/or incrementals every day. None of mine were affected because there was a reboot between the time each one was made and...
Thanks Keith.
Have to agree with that.
I also bought a 4-pack, because their software is just so good, I have to support them. :)
I have an incrementals forever setup for some things. I also use File & Folder Backup for some stuff, as I remember reading somewhere, that if you have any files over 4GB, that's how you recover them...
Thanks Cliff S That's a good deal.
Good catch TC. I tried to rep you, but have to spread the love around a bit. ;)
:ditto: Although I prefer to use "image" rather than clone, and I always verify when creating.
Thanks Cliff!
