It put the trial on for me - never gave me a chance to decline it, and I only got 14 days.

Have you tried booting to Kyhi's rescue media and running Malwarebytes from it on the OS drive?
-boot to media
-connect to internet and update the virus defs in MBAM
-check the box in MBAM to scan...

Do you have some group policies setup preventing them from running?
