I read somewhere (here maybe?) that the anniversary update was being doled out based on the age of the computer. Older computers would get it last. If this is true, it explains why my laptop is...
I have 3 Dell Optiplex GX-620s. Been on win 10 for most of a year....no sign of the anniversary update on any of them!
Driveclone (free) doesn't care about drive size. If there is enough room for the data you'll be fine!
Are they enabled? Just thinking out loud here....don't even know if they can be disabled.

Out of more curiousity....lets say you've downloaded but not yet installed? or are in the middle of a download or an install at the deadline but have not yet been authenticated?
Isn't a "windows. old" file created automatically at upgrade? OP states "a couple of weeks ago" so he should be able to roll back, no?
Is it possible you have only canceled the warnings for that particular drive? In other words, a new problem on a different drive might still give you the warning? That might explain why there doesn't...
Not sure I'd risk removing it, considering how little you'll gain.
