I'm not even close to being ready for MS Edge. Problem is I can't set IE11 as the default in settings because it is not an option when I click on Web Browser in Settings. For what it's worth, Edge...
Never mind. The website was not working for the past few days but it is now working again.
I can get to (http://www.bhphotovideo.com) but clicking on any link freezes IE11 and MS Edge. Problem is with this site only. Can I assume it's this website? Any ideas?
Agreed. Repair install. That's a better description. Thank you.
I didn't use a tutorial. The tutorial found in this forum is somewhat complicated for me. Googled around and found that it's a relatively simple process. Most important is to use the exact same Media...
That did it. I now at least get a choice of browsers when clicking on a link in Outlook. Being able to "Clean Install" without losing any apps or settings is a real blessing. "Settings/Default...
Yes, tried them all. Seems to me that there's a W10 problem with my desktop. As I mentioned, my laptop is OK in that it does offer browser options in Settings/Default apps while the desktop does not....
Tried that but it only gets me to the original problem:
You'll Need a New App to
Open this HTTPs
Look for App in The Store
As I now recall, clicking a link in Outlook use to bring up a box...
OK. Got it working but now it's opening to MS Edge. I prefer IE11. Tried resetting defaults and associations but can't get urls, etc to open into IE11.
Had no problem until today. IE11 is my default browser. Get this message when I click on a link in MS Outlook:
You'll Need a New App to
Open this HTTPs. Look for App in The Store
Any ideas?
Finally gave it up. Used an image that still had most apps installed and firewall is running. Now I hope the MS updates don't turn it off .
I do have the "restart start" option on the left but that only brings up the usual error message.
Yes, that doesn't work. No anti-virus running.
Just spent a week trying to start the W10 firewall. Dozens of Google recommended solutions but none work. Yes, Services reports it's automatic but it isn't running. Simply get an error message when I...
Problem solved. It turns out that one cause for a slow Outlook is a very large pst file it used to open. Mine was 325 MB. Found that via Google. Second, I allowed W10 to update my MS Office. Seems...
Tried that. No help. Even uninstalled and reinstalled but same problem. Takes almost a minute to open and the same to exit.
Going from W7 to W10 with MS Outlook is really dragging. Anyone else?
I occasionally use the Hidden Administrator account for security problems, stubborn undeletable files, etc. Question is can I use the User Profile from my W10 install on the Hidden Administrator? If...
Yes, I do run as administrator.
Yes. First thing I tried but didn't solve the problem.
No.
An app in my C:\Programs drive.
I get the following message when I try to 'save, 'save as' or 'paste':
File Access Denied

I have no idea was to...
