I left my computer be, while it was downloading a game. I came back later, And the screens were dark, that's normal as i set them them to turn off after 20mins. But when i moved mouse or pressed...
Computer running fine after clean install of Windows. Restored all personal files, and downloaded/install the software. No problems for 2 days now.
I've completed the Clean install of Windows, activated and upto date. Now just installing software, and figuring out how to find products keys and email signatures and so on.
the clone has the corrupted files as i only just cloned it before posting here, how would that work

booted up off macrium rescue usb, made clone of the SSD to external HD, plugged external HD into working computer and checked that i could access all personal files. I've always done it this way....
The clone of the HD was done 2 days ago, not before the corrupt windows file/s. If I have to do a clean install, I can copy over personal data from it. Its a clone, not an image.
I have a clone of the HD already, I used Macrium to clone to external HD before i started working on this.
Running thru the tests now.
