Your latest post was all in English, so I understood the words, but to the extent that is was technical, it left me reeling.
I have another issue that a dozen forums have not been able to resolve,...
Telegram for Desktop is a wonderful communication application that I would not swap for another; however there are two irritations which I would like to be removed. It involves disabling the tools...
'vanilla Win 10 32bit VM'
VM = virtual machine
vanilla is Linux
..... ?????
The latest version is a SUCCESS ! Merci, Thank you, Salamat, Multas Gracias, grazie, Danke Sheun, toda .....
This time my system reacted - a 'DOS window' opened briefly and closed, but the taskbar was unaffected.,
'I'll compile a 32 bit version' WOW ! such talent ! You are REALLY getting my hopes up.
I understand about expecting the message - I am VERY familiar with it. Yes my system is x32. I got NO reaction.
I do have a x64 system I can try it on - but where I NEED it is in x32.
Just an observation - multiple monitors and Quicklaunch/TrueLaunch do NOT prevent the 'manual' method of toggling the autohide feature of the Taskbar.
You persistent efforts are much appreciated.
'Do you have multiple monitors?' I have two.
'Do you have any software installed that modifies the taskbar?' I use the ancient QuickLaunch, and even that is modified by TrueLaunch - well I thought...
The WIN32 looks terribly promising, [toggling the taskbar-autohide is EXACTLY what I am after] but when I made a batchfile with the code 'AutoHideTaskbar.exe' and double clicked it, nothing...
Yes, with the prefix I do get the desired result.
You strike me as someone who is tenacious - Perhaps I can titillate your appetite with another challenge.
I want a (batch-file) shortcut to...
LesFerch & Bro67- I wanted a clickable shortcut, not a keystroke I have to remember.
LesFerch - Unlike the code I quoted, which gives me EXACTLY what I wanted, both your lines of code, saved in a...
The link suggests the code "Explorer.exe /e,/select,"
so I copied that into an empty text file, and saved it as a batch file.
Double clicking it gives me EXACTLY the view want.
Thank you so...
I want a shortcut to the DETAILS view available for Desktop - in File Explorer, through THIS PC, then Desktop in the left pane.
Thank you for showing me that.
When I did that post I lost hope that it would appear as a thread because 'Oops something went wrong. Try again later' was prompted - which I have become used to in...
I have at least five folders in x32Win10ProV22H2 that are named Quarantine. I have tried unsuccessfully to empty them using a batch file with various codes suggested by Google. Are folders name...
So I must have forgotten about the first time I tried with my own phone(s).
I have found different behaviour in Win10 (worse) and Win8.1 (better) and am trying to discover the reason.
The sharing option is a good suggestion; but so is the size limitation - I'll try find out if MessagesforWeb has such a limitation. I'll also try and see how big in Kbs is the pic that can't be sent.
Well then I must have forgotten the traumas of the FIRST connection.
I have just noticed in a MessagesforWeb thread with pics that failed to get sent, that a message appeared below the unsent pic...
Spunk - NOT MY phone....
When I connect my own phone to x32Win10ProV22H2, 'it' appears in ThisPC, If I click on that, the normal File Explorer opens (for the phone's contents). The Android there is v4.1.2
I have not tried...
I was not the one doing the process - when I was involved, I only looked at the PC screen, so do not know what messages appeared on the phone.
The PCs COULD connect to internet, and usually are. The one phone was an Android.
I tried to move files from a phone to an external hard drive - so both connected through suitable adapters to USB ports. In three Win10 PCs (both x32 and x64), the phone was detected, but when...
Scanning for hardware changes in Device Manager does NOT 'do it', but toggling power does it sometimes; at other times, need to reseat the SATA connectors to the SSD.
It rather looks like the most promising technique is to depower the drive and power it again - that fixes it SOMETIMES if not always.
