Which tablet do you have? I'm curious what the hardware difference might be.
I thought the same thing you are saying, but when I reinstalled Win 10 from scratch and am comparing to how it is now with Win 8.1 the difference is beyond noticeable in performance. I'm sticking...

Thank you all for your replies. Comparing Win 10 on my Venue 11 Pro with 4gb RAM to this tablet, to my Precision laptop, work desktop, etc, I've resolved to regress to Win 8.1 and avoid 10 on this...
I've decided I will use Win 8.1 on this tablet. I have an OTG cable and Dell support sent me a reinstall thumbdrive with the Win 8.1 32bit Dell image.

I have a Dell Venue 8 Pro with 1gb pf RAM and it seems generally slower with Win 10 than Win 8.1. I've compared fresh installs of both OSes and Win 10 is noticeably slower to me. What have you guys /...
It ultimately will depend on the BIOS / UEFI firmware of your device. I know on my tablet an SD card is bootable only if it is formatted as GPT with an EFI boot partition. Older BIOSes should be fine...
