Hi all

It appears that the cause is that I use a Hello PIN instead of a password

What about no dots and no eye symbol?

I have two other PCs. They don't behave this way.

When I enter my PIN, nothing shows in the textbox (no dots, no eye symbol).
When I have entered the PIN, I am logged in without using the Enter key.
What is going on? Some keylogger?

To disable SMB2 and SMB3 on client and server follow the instructions in this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2696547
I did it and it worked wonders.

Where do you see column discovery? And what does it do?

Sorry that CTRL + F5 doesn't work for you. Maybe you are on a domain. I am on a workgroup.
Ctrl + F5 is certainly does certainly do more than just F5.

I had a similar problem.
Could not see my NAS. Could not see this computer.
Net view gave me an error.
Solution: Press CRTL + F5. Net view also works now. F5 is not enough.
