That was my thought. I saw they identified an activation issue mid-November, but I didn't find anything that said the problem had been identified and resolved.
So Showkey says the key is OEM which is very strange because the key card itself says "retail" in the lower right-hand corner. How can a retail box kit contain an OEM key? It certainly looks like...
Purchased retail Windows 10 Pro kit on ebay from a reputable seller. They sold a bunch of them and had all positive feedback including ones sold recently. The kit was sealed, and the label was over...
So apparently, I misunderstood what Microsoft has done. I thought they disabled Windows 7/8/8.1 keys from upgrading to Windows 10. WHY would they disable a retail boxed Windows 10 Pro key? That...
Installed Win 10 Pro on a laptop that originally had Windows 8.1 and apparently was never updated to Windows 10 . I used the USB drive that came in the retail box to install Win 10 Pro.
When I...
One computer of mine "saw" the 22H2 update but when I clicked to update, it mysteriously vanished.....
Did Microsoft stop rolling out 22H2?
Anyone else having computers that will not go into sleep mode after installing this update? I have several.... :(
I'm getting the dreaded "we couldn't update system reserve partition" error when attempting to update from windows 10 1909 to 2004 on one of my laptops. I tried using software to resize the SRP but...
Will the meida creation tool actually work to upgrade this time, or will it be for clean installs only like 1903 was.....guess I'll find out.
Why not? Because the last time I did, the $hit still didn't work, and I have better things to do with my time to "see" if Microsoft fixed their garbage. Why can't they announce it was fixed, or...
Anyone know if you can upgrade to 1903 with a USB drive and the media tool? Have they fixed this yet??
I know you can do a clean install (could since 1903 came out) but I need to be able to...
The update assistant works, but creating a USB drive to update is much faster - you don't have to download the update EVERY time when using a USB drive.
Can't upgrade to 1903 with a USB drive and the update utility.... Really Microsoft???? How long will this take to fix?
Previous updates worked so whats the deal with 1903? Clean install or...
No update here yet....strange.
Not always - there are ways to recover corrupt BIOS without changing the motherboard, or the BIOS chip on the motherboard.
About F'n time Microsoft! The standalone version always had a system tray icon. The W10 geniuses decided it would be cool to remove it so users had no idea if it was actually running or not.
Microsoft is a US company is it not?
Microsoft needs to take the month off the name of these updates. Just call it Fall update 2018. Will they ever learn?
Nope - not a 3rd party software issue. I'm downloading from Edge and whatever Microsoft uses to "security scan" comes to a screeching halt a high percentage of the time. I don't have any other AV...
Yes I am talking about downloading from Edge....the great Microsoft browser....lol
Whatever windows runs by default - Defender I assume?
Anyone notice that it takes FOREVER to "run security scan" when downloading files at times now? This started after a recent update. If it takes forever to complete, re-downloading the files often...
I have the same thing - it started with the 2018 update. No idea why MS is ignoring it.
