Quite aware of the current build. I only install a build when there is a significant, or interesting changes! Paused until around October :-) ....but may give Windows 11 a go when the...
Thanks - I wasn't considering the 'leaked' build at all :-) Hopefully the next Insider build will allow me to update my current build to it. This time next week I should know.
I know my PC my not be compatible with Windows 11 (or whatever it will be called), but it is working fine with
21343. I have read that Secure Boot is needed for Windows 11 + TPM 2.0. but any idea...
Nice build. I have left the builds since the first week of January, but was tempted by this one as good reports and File Explorer icons looked nice :-) Anyway installed in around 45 mins on my old...
Thanks kado897
As this build is now functional until October 2021, does anyone here know approx. when the version will come out for general release? I'm assuming May 2021 but is that right?
I have paused further...
Stable so far
Yes!
Saw that! Going to try this build myself right now. I have Macrium ready to return my current 20197
Waiting forever for this fix
We’re working on a fix for an issue causing some devices to experience a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION bugcheck.
It would be a clean install of 20H2 when in comes out. That build is fine with my Intel Network Adapter

Do you have an Intel Network Adapter?? (See my comment above yours)
The tcpip.sys GSOD 'could' be related to the same error I get with the DPC WATCHDOG green screen, which is due to a conflict with some old Intel Network Adapters. Mine is 82579V. I have been...
Maybe in a build or two it will be resolved.
If you find a fast route, let me know ;) Paused here until January 2021 hopefully, before then a build will work without green screening.
Intel Network Adapter? That's the issue I have with last few builds. Currently on 20197, no issues at all

You have to do a clean install of the version you want to go down...
Thanks rseiler for the feedback. Guess I will wait for yet another build. Sounds like as soon as the network was found the build crashed. Not good 😐
If you install this build would you please report back on this thread if it installs okay (with the Intel Network Adapter bug) - thanks.
NB Is "We’re investigating reports from some Insiders that...
Yes that's what I'm waiting for. Watching & waiting for a fix, before I try an update.
Any idea if the 'DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION' is related to the Intel Network Adapters that I mentioned in the last build (that crashed with a green screen on the last build install?) have not tried this...
We'll have to keep checking the bug fixes before installing the next build. Hopefully it will get fixed because otherwise I'll be stuck on 20197 until the end of January (then I'll have to do a fresh...
Yes I had a similar issue with the last build. A friend of mine said this build seemed okay, but after 22 hours usage his PC green screened (He also has, like me an Intel NIC). Hope this get fixed....
That's a very long wait - hope it was worth it? ;)
