Funny thing: I managed to fix it.

I saw here that reflashing the BIOS/UEFI component fixed it for someone else, so using the WinFlash utility from ASUS I managed to reflash v209 of the BIOS/UEFI....

I've used the Intel Driver Update Utility. I install the only driver that pops up in "Latest", but as soon as I restart and start Windows Update, it automagically tries to update my "out of date"...
