What's confusing? SFC refuses to run from fresh boot, it says there a system update and must reboot. Reboots dont help and I dont know of any updates. I want to run SFC from a clean boot so it fix...

update.microsoft.com just opens the windows update dialouge box in win 10 and I have no important updates. just 1 optional. It for HD audio. I can't copy and paste a screenshot of the window command...

Right exactly my problem from a fresh boot command prompt SFC will not run says it must reboot to apply system update but rebooting does not help.

I did try mikiep's suggestion
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /source:WIM:H:\sources\Install.wim:1 /LimitAccess

It worked.... But did NOT solve the initial problem of SFC refusing to...

When I run DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:H:\Sources with H: being a DVD drive with a 9879 image. The sources folder on H has a image.wim file.

because 9926 wont install, I'm infected w some Bedep malware.......trying to repair this infection and get 9926 to install

SFC wont run from boot command prompt, says there are other pending actions and needs to reboot. Rebooting does no good.
