Ok so the problem seems deeper. Even at stock clocks (3.5 base and 3.9 boost), my pc will crash after running insurgency sandstorm, the monitors will simply shut off and the gpu fan will be maxed...
What do you mean by normal condition?
Hey I didn't update my bios. I only did CMOS reset by doing a battery change.
There was no supplier, I built the PC myself. I did the OC about 4 years ago so I don't recall the settings. I think i just changed the core to 43 and left all voltage on auto.

Any thoughts on what I can do now to get back my old overclock and stability ?
I recently did a CMOS battery change becuse my windows 10 times were always wrong when booting. I am not yet sure if that problem has been fixed but now I have a new issue. I was previously OCd to...
Will try that. Also someone suggested running the windows update assistant, I did that and it may have installed the update but im still getting an error for office 2013 update KB3039720, error...
Would a faulty cmos battery also give me this update problem ?
I cannot install this either via automatic update or manually. In automatic mode I get error: 0x800f0831 and in manual mode it simply says that it was not installed. Any ideas how to fix this?...

Played many more hours and no more lock ups! :D
So happy. Thanks Axe, hopefully this helps someone.
I might have fixed my system, I checked both gpus independently and they both worked and there was no crash on either with gaming. I checked the SLI bridge and 1 part of it was slightly loose, so i...
Hey Axe0 unfortunately I did do that, a completely clean install of the nvidia drivers. The issue seems to be solely related to SLI since I have now tested each of the graphics card independently and...
Damn I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that. Do you think that might fix the problem? I just tested the other card again without SLI and again no BSOD.
The problem seems to be with SLI itself.

Ok just disabled SLI again and was able to play far cry 2 with no problems at all. Played for about an hour. I also read in another thread a similar situation of someone with very similar crash dump...
Ok so just a brief summary of what I have done:
I turned SLI back on, did some basic pc stuff for a few hours, no crashes. Launched a game and instant hard lockup before the game even went into...
Will do man thanks so much. I am going to do a manual clean reinstall of my nvidia drivers too just to see if that makes a difference.
Thanks so much for the insight Axe0! I have uninstalled Avast and will keep testing.
I should note that I disabled SLI and since doing so and running this pc for several days I have not crashed at...
Just wanted to say that I disabled SLI and I haven't tried to game with 1 card but with SLI off so far I had no crashes. So maybe this is the video card. Ran memtest for a few hours, no errors, but...
So I figured out how to analyze the mini dumps and it seems the 2 things that are failing is one is the cpu itself, I get problems with 'genuineintel'. But also dxgkrnl.sys
From my research this...
Ok I got in the bios, I had to move my HDMI monitor connection to the top SLI'd card, then i turned off SLI and then I could see the asus splash screen prompt and where it said press del to start.

Just tried this, used the DVI monitor and disconnected the rest, same issue. If I leave it alone it boots into windows 10 quickly with no problems on just 1 monitor. If I hold del or tap it, it will...
Doing this brings up this screen: 53480
I am not sure how I then get into the bios from there. Start up settings doesn't seem to have anything relevant.
I have not tried this. Where is that...
