Ive had a 6.66gb $Windows.~BT folder for 6 hours, not sure whether i should press setup?

Tried a few things, the obvious redownload, install uninstall, reinstall

synapse loads up and signs in, but doesn't register my keyboard/mouse

how exactly did this help you with your sound issues?

Problem i have, and has always remained is as follows:
no sound after booting my pc
uninstall from device manager (device manager is reporting they are correctly installed)
reboot pc, sound now...

a week ago, i noticed there was no sound, each day now have been installing the realtek drivers (from asus website, for z68pro v), then the following day, no sound,

any ideas ?

had mine set to 'never install updates' and voila, after 1/2 hour the black was back

sfc log file attached, looking for inputs.

symptoms include but no limited to:
-mouse over bug, toolbars changing in colour being greyed or highlighted, but will not return
-drives appear...
