Yeah this is weird. I already thought that everything is fixed but nope, computer freezed again just this morning for several minutes. Maybe it's time to uninstall Avira and try something else. Kinda...

Exactly what happeded to me too. I pushed reset button and after boot the computer freezes on the windows login screen. I was able to boot up in safe mode, uninstalled this update, booted normally...

I did exactly same mistake as the thread starter, I tried to manually change the default lock screen image(that ugly cave picture). Even though I changed everything back I'm stuck with solid color...
