I had no problem deleting the shortcuts from the desktop. It's just that when I go into the control panel and see the list of installed programs, it's showing the old desktop shortcuts as installed...

I was using 'more tools' then 'create shortcut' in the Chrome browser. They've since changed the process, but these were from old, long since deleted shortcuts.

While looking through the list of installed programs on my PC, I noticed that a bunch of old. long since deleted desktop shortcuts created using Chrome were showing up there as installed programs....
