Well my Surface 3 finally got 1809 after manually clicking get updates but my desktop still doesn't see it.
The feature updates never get auto detected for me, I always have to use the MCT.
In Windows 1803, there are some new privacy settings, Documents, Pictures, Video and File System.
These all now have a global setting for access to said locations via apps under a heading of allow...
Yes I have sub keys in the registry now after resetting all the Store apps.
This is happening from a clean install though, like wth. :sarc:

This is a thing with Windows 10. Disabling an app from running in the background doesn't prevent it from auto starting as a process.
