I went to Tools / Media
it says current media information:

a) all blanks
b) the entries are things like Title, Artist, etc.

I am using VLC media player 3.0.8

is there somewhere I miss that...

I have the old dVD identifier that reads the Manufacturer name, manufacturer ID, media type ID. That software was 2009. It does read blu-ray disc, but it doesn't say what is the country of origin. ...
