i guess my bios was automatically set to boot from usb first so it just kept looping back to install from usb . I never bothered going into my bios (which was nice)

always so useful. one thing i always miss is to remove usb drive when doing the first reboot after step 16. We should remove it then right ?

The drive does not stay on screen long enough to do anything. It shows up in disk manager for only a few seconds.

It looks like it is my storage drive. It is mostly just storage but a few things point to it like my Outlook and a few programs.
