Nice, Kari!
I'm going to start teaching Windows 10 FCU for Seniors beginning the first Wednesday In January. I'm planning to turn them on to TenForums, so I'll be sure to use this video to show...
Wow, Kari! That is very nice!
It's kind of strange that I just came into my office and sat down to this!
Happy New Year to you too!

Nice one, Cliff.
Thanks, Kari. Let us know either way, please, so we won't turn blue holding our breath.
Kari, I know that I tested the generic key exactly as I tested the Windows 8.1 Pro key with PID.txt, but I'd like a second opinion, please?
Thanks, Kari . . . I'm all tested out for the moment, but am up for the test again, maybe, later, maybe . . .
Yes, I know. And if it had worked, one flash drive would be enough!
Either that or plug in the PID.txt file with the 8.1 key.
Yes, it is strange, because inserting the 8.1 key as PID.txt worked just fine. And, as I said, I double checked everything and followed your instructions explisitly.
Told ya I ain't no coder....
OK, testing is finished.
As expected, adding PID.txt (Win 8.1 product key) to the flash drive gives me Windows 10 Pro.
I fully expected the generic key to give me Windows 10 Pro too, but it...
Yes, thank you. Downloading now.
OldMike said the files are a tad bit different, so I decided I need to get the very latest, in hopes some bugs have been squished. Although I haven't had any...
I'm not sure what's going on, but when I went to the ISO link, I was offered the MCT; not what I want.
And now I have it. Well, a whole bunch of 'em, to be honest. :roflmao::thumbsup::roflmao::thumbsup:
OK, the PID.txt works with the Anniversary Edition.
Pro: I don't have to change the Product Key to update from Home to Pro.
Con: I can only use this Flash Drive with Lappy because it has its...
Oh, crap, no. I gave it my 8.1 Product Key.
Sorry, maybe I'll try that one tomorrow?
Going in . . .
Hmph, and if I believe that, you got some oceanfront property in Arizona ya wanna sell to me? :p :p :p
OK, I'll do it!
BTW, I took Lappy to Tim the Computer Guy and had him install the 240GB...
Awww, are y'all gonna make me reinstall Winders!? You gonna make me da sacrificial goat!?
Yup, we be on the same page!
BTW, it was Alpha who told me to use that method:
Then he gave me this link, which goes into more detail:
Solved Installation does NOT ask for key during...
Someone else told me to do that, but I can't remember who. So it probably works.
Right now, I don't have anything to reinstall to, but may in the next few days.
I've chickened out on changing...
As you well know, Kari, I'm no coder!
So, when I save X:\Sources\PID.txt . . . My flash drive being I:\, I should save as I:\Sources\PID.txt?
This was a bare metal clean install of the Anniversary Edition. I had no choice of what to install, nor did it ask for a product key. It just looked at the BIOS and installed Home.
And where...
Great, Kari! So far, I haven't succeeded in creating WinPE through Macrium. So it looks like I need a tutorial.
You are getting to be an absolute professional at this!
Very nice, Kari! Of course I'll need to watch again tomorrow. :)
