original names are became shortened and all caps and the extension lost 1 or 2 of its first letters like here

when I try to rename ONLY the extension -for example- from PO3--->png the...

only when i rename the extension like in the pic I've uploaded

to ntfs or fat32 ?

it is now ntfs
it was before fat32
so before the problem
ntfs--->fat32(problem)--->ntfs

it will not recognize the original name after copying to ntfs file system or...

I have ~47000 files (not all affected ) all less than 4 gb mostly ai (illustrator) and png files if i want to rename all manually it would be hard and time consuming
