Yup, I got those.
Oh definitely. Good thing I don't use this laptop very much, so I didn't have a lot to lose.
I should've probably done it this way instead of doing an inplace upgrade...

Audio, video, ethernet, wireless, card reader, those types of things.
I especially want to reset my ethernet connection since I think malware kept turning my machine on, despite me turning off...
Ooops, sorry I missed your post. That's good to know.
So I assume it's using generic drivers in that case, yes?
Thanks, I already have them from Dell's support website after entering...
Ah, ok. That's what I was running into, earlier. Thanks for info.
I've got the updated Dell drivers on a separate drive, so I'm ok in that department. I just wanted to know if I can install...
How do you get that setting? If I right mouse click it and uninstall it, it just comes right back on the next reboot.
Hi and thanks for your response.
No, my question was concerning the Dell drivers. I'd like to reload them from scratch if I can, without doing a clean install.
Quick question: - I understand resetting the PC erases all the personal files and apps that didn't come with Windows (I have backups), but does it reset the drivers as well?
If not, would I have...

Yup, I didn't even see that. Thanks for solving this!
I might as well ask here. I'm looking to create a Powershell shortcut to:
irm christitus.com/win | iex
So I can run this tool without have to run Powershell as an admin and copying and pasting...
This is becoming a wide-spread known issue.
Microsoft pulls Edge update causing 'Out of Memory' crashes
I bought it directly from Samsung's own store, so unless they're selling their own fakes, then I'd doubt it.
That's good to know, thanks.
I actually have two of these drives. One does it, the other one doesn't.
It only happens on eject. Works fine, otherwise.
I bought a new Samsung T7 1TB portable, but when I eject the device through the USB icon on the taskbar, the device's indicator light briefly flashes red before it goes dark.
Is this something to...
Yeah, I'm in the US so prices will be somewhat different.
And you still can get removable ram on some machines, but you have to do research. Or pay more for more soldered ram before you buy.
Where do you get these at?
I also uninstalled VLC using Revo and re-installed it (to the latest version) and that also seems to have improved things.
It wasn't even opening the right mouse click menu but just...
Sorry for the delay. I had to hunt around a bit.
I found out that K-Lite was causing the crashing. It had something called the "Icaros ThumbnailProvider" that was enabled in it. What the hell...
That's a relatively new program and I know the issue was going on before I installed it a month ago.
Yeah, I right-mouse click the file in Explorer ++ and it comes up with the standard context menu.

Hello, should there be anything else I should try?
Thanks
Since I'm new to the program, how do I do that?
I deliberately ran an mp4 file and got the following error.
This is the first instance of the error seen during this time period ...
I first noticed it a few months ago. I let it go until now since I rarely open mp4 files. Now it's time I think I should do something about it.
And yes, I do have Shellexview installed as well..
Here's the zip file attached....

Nothing's been changed or adjusted.
Will do. I'm at work right now but I will upload that zip file when I get home. Thanks.
This is not a BSOD. What happens is whenever I move my mouse over a VLC mp4 file and attempt to click on it, Explorer starts locking up, the Explorer window goes gray and the taskbar suddenly...
