After some surfing, I see a lot complaints about MS having scrapped the good old Midi Mapper Win 8 and onwards...
Well, it doesn't
VLC gives me this: Codec is not supported - VLC could not decode the format "MIDI" (MIDI audio)
I'll give it a try, thank you. Forgot to mention that the 'problem files' will play back correctly when imported into Cubase, my music project program, but it's a bit of a time consuming process...
I'm a musician and I'm (also) using MIDI for music production. Problem is that in Win 10 not all MIDI files are playing back properly. F.x. I have some drum files that only play back piano notes...
There doesn't seem to be an option for switching to AHCI on the old Acer (2007) but it works like a charm ;-)
Last chapter of "SSD not working" Today I put the OCZ 100 Arc in the old Acer Travelmate 5520, just to confirm that it really was dead, sata-wise and guess what? It showed up in the boot menu. In...
Maybe so, but you started a conversation with another person, showing all kind of benchmarks...in my thread! So I will take the liberty to remove (if that's possible?)what I believe is not strictly...
No, I didn't - I'LL give it a try!
I'LL check, thank you...
Yes, jds63 - same system.I use both Classic Shell and Ccleaner, so I will take it from there. OS-SSD is in good health and no virus. Thanks!
JDS63 and makisxxx: It seems you've hijacked my thread: "SSD not working" Could you please go somewhere else?
This is SSD Gurus report on the OCZ ARC 100 (via USB Docking station):
Note: All references are to ACS-2 Specification

It's flying and no other slow responses..
...and icons takes unreasonable long time to open - what could be the reason?
Tried different ports to no avail - gonna RMA it. The "funny" thing is, that my Vertex 2 also was buggy so I had to RMA that as well ;-( Anyway, thanks for the help.
I purchased an OCZ ARC 100, 240 gig's SSD about a month ago. From the beginning it was rather tricky to get working, but at last I succeeded, though it still 'disappeared' once in a while. But the...
Sigh of relief! I somehow got it working by using SSD Guru's Erase option and creating partition in Easeus - knock on wood!
Got this OCZ arc 100 a week ago - it was 'funky' from day one, but I managed to install Win 7 on the desktop, but I could only open Win 7 on a laptop! Ran CHKDSK. Anyone?
PS...
This is exactly the same problem I'm experiencing
with e-sata drives and Win 10- First boot with the black screen (what do you call it, anyway?) is without problems, but when Windows start booting,...
It was just that simple thing as mentioned. Under the menu 'Administrate wireless network' in the 'Network and sharing Center' win 7, the security section. The quoted text is a direct translation...
Yep - under the menu 'Administrate wireless network' in the 'Network and sharing Center' win 7, the security section. The quoted text is a direct translation from Danish - not sure about the englih...
In Windows 7 I could copy my network settings to a usb stick and transfer it to another machine just by clicking on the file generated - really simple. But I can't find the same option in Win 10 -...
I somehow got it working in Firewire mode. Device Manager says: 'LaCie Hard Drive IEEE 1394 SBP2 Device'. Is that FW 400 or 800? At least, it's gotta be better than USB2?
Has anyone experienced problems with esata and firewire connection in Win 10?
