Had the same problem with this update. Winver showed 16299.334 installed but Windows Update showed it as requires restart to finish installing. I uninstalled it and downloaded the MSU from post 1...

Uninstalling Avast will prove it one way or another. If you do make sure you run avastclear.exe in safe mode afterwards to clean out the crap it leaves behind.

The Avast forum also confirms that avast is compatible after they issued a patch for it yesterday.
The micro updates are only delivered once every 12 hours so some avast users may need to run...

There is a problem with the latest Foxit update which it why Explorer preview doesn't work on x64 systems. They only included the x86 .dll file NOT the x64 .dll.

Try manually updating the driver and point it to the folder containing the old 13.1 or 13.4 legacy drivers you used in Windows 7. You may have an AMD folder on your C Drive containing them?
