Installed successfully Win10 on the SATA drive just bought. Straight forward installation.
So now having Win running, CSM Boot enable, the Win drive manager is able to "see" the M.2...

Yes Sir, I did. I've moved the M2 PCIE drive (SAMSUNG 980 Pro) into the other slot and same results. Detected by BIOS, even possible to try to boot on it but never seen by Windows installer.

Thanks for the advice but this is not my problem. My M2 drive is always seen by the bios/motherboard as storage device.
Depending on bios boot settings (CSM enable), I can even try to boot on it but...

Sir I think you're right.
You think my M2 NVME PCIE drive is faulty ? Or I should by a SATA SSD, install Window on it and deal with the nvme drive afterward.

Created a new USB Win10 install stick following the recommendation:
Option One, here... Create Bootable USB Flash Drive to Install Windows 10

BOOT>CSM>Launch CSM: Enabled...

:chuckle: I' remember installing Windows 3.1 with a dozen of 3.5 floppy disks... things improved but the one click install is not yet existing.

Let's make a new USB stick :-)

The bios see my M2 drive, windows installer never succeed to.
The bios always see it as a storage device. Bootable or not depending on bios boot setting.
The M2 drive is brand new and unformatted.

Hitting F8 and choosing UEFI USB --> usual windows install startup then fail because no drive is found
Hitting F8 and choosing USB --> black screen.... nothing...

Interesting so if you want to boot from a M2 drive formatted in:
MBR: you had to set your bios boot device control to Legacy OPROM only
GPT: you had to set your bios boot device control to UEFI...
