Thanks for replying! I'm currently doing another MemTest (Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool - Extended Test, 4 passes), so we'll see how it goes.
EDIT: Decided to go with Standard, 4 passes instead...
Hey, all.
So, recently I've been having MEMORY_MANAGEMENT & SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION Blue Screens on my PC. I think they are caused by my RAM. Some background:
A couple months ago, one of my...
Thanks for replying! What write speeds do you get on your external drives? I get about 50 MB/s on mine, which is about half of what I used to get. This drive uses SMR, which is frowned upon for...
Most likely.
What write speeds do you get on your SMR drives? On my external drive, I get around 20 - 70 MB/s, which is really slow. There's nothing wrong with the drive itself (no strange sounds when running, no...
Hey, all.
Basically, I want to know if you've had good experiences with Toshiba drives (particularly external ones). Have they been fast, reliable, delivered consistent performance? How are they...
Windows 10 2004 has this bug. I experienced it myself when I installed Windows 10 on my SSD for the first time. I did some Googling & I found the solution. Windows 10 has virtually no QA/QC besides...
Awesome! Glad that it worked.
Try this:
1. Open Registry Editor
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NlaSvc\Parameters\Internet

UPDATE: My external HDD was encrypted successfully with no errors (backed up all its data to my internal drives just in case it ended up failing). Took like 6 hours to fully encrypt the drive, but...
Alright, I tried BitLocker out on a 16 GB USB Flash Drive & it worked flawlessly. I even did a couple of reboots while encryption/decryption was paused (for some reason, I could not eject the drive;...
No problem! :)
Hey, all.
I have a 1 TB external USB 3.0 HDD that I use as a backup drive. I'm thinking of encrypting it using BitLocker (not sure which method I'm going to end up using). What are the chances of...
I'm not sure. Maybe once a week/month. A full scan takes a while to complete (about an hour on my system - Windows 10 Pro 20H2 x64 on an SSD) & it consumes a lot of resources. The time it takes for...
Honestly, I'd recommend Windows Defender. It comes included with Windows 10, does not show any ads & is not obtrusive. However, it is a bit resource hungry (maxes out my Xeon E3-1231 v3 when doing a...
Hi.
You can change your mouse pointer settings by going to the mouse settings in Control Panel ("Hardware and Sound" --> "Devices and Printers" --> right-click on your mouse & select "Mouse...
Issue appears to have been fixed after reinstalling GPU drivers. Thank you everyone for all your support!
Well, this site isn't the best Windows 10 resource site for nothing. :)

Hey, all.
Scrolling in Windows Settings sometimes breaks (can't scroll with mouse wheel - scrollbar moves but the actual content in the window doesn't change; grabbing the scrollbar & scrolling...
I actually stumbled across the same issue you had. After some Google-fu, I found the solution: Reset Notification Area Icons in Windows 10
Try a different font. Some fonts, IIRC, don't work well as system fonts (Antigua being an example since your taskbar clock is messed up).
