Hello,
I recently got a projector that is widi capable and I've been having a blast with it, the only downside right now is that if I use my Lenovo W530 or Toughbook CF-19 on Windows 10 both of...
That depends on the battery but the batteries I am keeping has at least 90% design capacity, this particular battery is a bit odd because the full charge capacity is larger than the design capacity....
Well, while it's certainly not hibernating anymore... now it just shuts down which is even worse.
Same behaviour on all 4 remaining tested "good" batteries! (rest have been tested and harvested...
I don't think it has to do with idle timer because last time it happened, I was literally using my laptop to show a CAD design while broadcasting on Zoom. In any case, I did do that, the only time...
Done, let's see if that fixes it.
Hello,
I am writing about my Lenovo W530 with Windows 10 64 bit. All of my drivers are up to date, it has optimus Nvidia Quadro 2000m + Intel HD 4000 GPU and it is a triple-boot with linux systems...
Just for closure. It was a failing SSD. Possibly with additional issues from possibly botched cloning but we'll never know for sure since I fresh installed on a new SSD.
Hello,
I've actually already posted under sound section of the forums (https://www.tenforums.com/sound-audio/177374-hdmi-device-detected-windows-10-producing-sound-but-no-sound-tv-2.html), however I...
I did do the sfc and dism scan and repairs and TV on/off :( but I actually may be onto something now. Since you mentioned about jack detection, I turned off Sound Blaster Recon3Di control panel and...
Okay, I just did another clean install, no dice. Something odd is even after I deleted the Intel HD graphics driver, the Intel Audio remained, so I deleted that too then re-installed graphics driver....
What I meant is that I clean installed it multiple times.

disabling "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" didn't work. I will try another clean...
I've reinstalled Intel graphics several times as well (clean install). I will try to disable exclusive control after rebooting and making the sound to work again. Typically I have to reboot when the...
New discovery, if I am watching a video on youtube, and a new video starts after the one that I am watching, the sound on HDMI goes out. However if I quickly switch to headphones then back to HDMI,...
Hello,
I've recently fresh-installed Windows 10 Home on my Alienware 15 laptop. I've had it working with an external TV connected through HDMI. before the fresh install. In short, hardware wise...
There is no problem until the freeze/crash which literally means that I should test clean boot for up to 20 days. It's irrelevant.
Not quite relevant because I'm talking about having the computer booted for extended period of time with all functions available rather than unstable boot.
Well... Just as I was hoping it was done and over with, on the 14th day crash.
14th day since in-place upgrade repair, the toughbook crashed.
This time, it concided with my AV (Kaspersky IS)...
I've just finished making a flash drive with newest W10 installation ISO.
I will try your "Upgrade".
It'll take almost a month to determine if it is successful or not though.

Unfortunately crash still happens about once every 20 days or so.
I am going to fix a day to reinstall W10 and hopefully that will fix it
Since last I ran the dism restore command, and updated the driver for intel HD 4000 from 2015 to 2020 version, no freeze nor crash has yet been observed. Fingers crossed after day 12.
I guess...
Unfortunately my shutdowns aren't really associated with anything. It just happens.
I have another machine with same CPU and GPU as my toughbook that's been on for 200 days now without an issue so...
The critical even log literally tells me that the system as shut down unexpectedly and nothing more... Also this is not a performance issue it's a stability issue possibly caused by a botched cloning...
This isn't the only machine I have with W10 and Intel HD 4000 iGPU though and I have no performance issues at all. I doubt the performance really will be an issue anytime soon but I do want to fix...
Reliability Monitors Misc failure: Windows was not properly shut down on Dec 20, Dec 27, Jan 4th -these are the times when the computer freezes and I force reboot with power button. Which seem...
