Thanks anyway. Ran SFC which said it found some corrupt files and repaired them, however it didn't fix the issue. restarted, same. Ran the Regedit batch file again, no change.

Ok I went to that thread, and the last post after you clarified your problem is someone asking if the desktop.ini file got overwritten. Was that the problem? Because I don't see anything indicating...
