figuring out a work around for the idiocy of the O/S to restore the functionality of the old O/S. I would happily buy that app.
has anyone made any progress on this infuriating oversight since last month?
how does that link get the result you show?
what the link itself shows is only explorer window titles and paths
I don't want to change either of those. I want the result like in your picture,...
how do I get separate tabs/buttons on the taskbar for each open folder like Windows 7, so I can see and in one click click to view any of them instead of only getting 'file explorer' with a pop-up...
often it gives me a prompt to do so, but here I wasn't given the option (I guess it was in the right click menu or sumn?)
thanks again.
Libri is capable of reading old Microsoft .docs Microsoft...
thanks!
I remember trying this program many many years ago and the text display had intolerably messed up kerning for unknown reasons so I never looked at it again.
wouldn't let me install here...
I tried to view some documents in Wordpad, and they couldn't be displayed properly.
since .doc is a Word format, I tried Word, but to my horror I see that I have to upload every file I want to use...
cheers, dunno why that doesn't come up in the search bar options!
um, not sure what you mean by this.
to be clear, I'm talking about, say, having a Wordpad document open, highlighting a...
I've forum searched and looked at other posts and can't see a solution.
do I need some reg-edit instructions?
I want to get rid of, at the very least, these ugly @ fonts that clogg up the...
LOL I came to this thread looking for what you were looking for -- on Win 7 I was able to tick/untick hide/reveal fonts so my wordpad list wasn't BLOATED with ugly useless fonts.
I don't imagine...
I'm not sure if this will address the unusable space on my screen (seems like the grid is just aligned badly for the resolution), but once I'm able to reboot I'll see if that did anything more than...
I've got WindowManager working for now, but it's a really crude and time-consuming design compared to the effortless intelligence of ShellFolderFix. I installed ZMover and it appears to be even worse...
so...on Win 7 I could use my whole screen.
I could have a window open almost full screen, but still see my bottom row of icons.
on Win 10 I have about 60pixels of wasted screen real estate where it...
though it's more visible on my desktop with a black wallpaper, the one on white file explorer windows is still wrong for me (I also do not wish to change to 'dark' mode and make my text white and...
I certainly don't want to change everything - whole themes for Windows or brightness/contrast monitor-wide settings. I just want the icon and file selection box to be more visible, everything else is...
I can barely see the hovered and selected item pale blue default,
how do I make this a more visible color?
I've gone through several third-party apps that have allowed me to change text...
I'm starting to suspect Microsoft's programmers don't use Windows themselves.
it's really such a basic little time-saver to have positions and sizes remembered that it shouldn't require a third...
can't speak for other users, but it's unlikely to be the reason why ShellFolderFix has stopped working, as I very much doubt I for one in a few days of use have managed to exhaust a 5000 folder...
god knows what I did over there. :o
tried to install WinSize2 and now I'm just being haunted by random tiptooltext popping up "INI file was read - has been overwritten by the user" interrupting my...
6 years on, is this still functional, or has Microsoft managed to undermine it like with ShellFolderFix which used to do the same thing for free?
I finally made the jump to Win10 and this has been driving me absolutely mad. what an enormous time waster it is to have to re-adjust every single window every single time.
for the first day or so...
