Process msedge.exe not found !
Sorry for delay, I have been indisposed.
Why do I need to reload policies when Edge seems to be working fine?
With regard to my original post, I realise I posted the same problem back in...
Well, that's weird 'cos the same happened to mine again yesterday.
Two people on the same day! Just a coincidence? Seems unlikely. How many others?
What's going on Microsoft?
I just...
Hi Brink,
I have done option 2 section 4 but it has made absolutely no difference !
What's more, the merged (?) key is not in the registry - and neither are all the other keys that I'm sure were...
Top of settings page says "Your browser is managed by your organisation".
I am not in any organisation, I am an individual with only a personal Microsoft account.
I have never had a MS account with...
Many thanks for your suggestion.
But here's a funny story - this happened not long after I posted my question and before your reply.
I clicked on the Help button at the top of the Outlook interface...
This started two days ago, suddenly with no warning.
I have several sub-folders that I move emails to for long-term storage.
But now I get an error message "Cannot move the items" every time I try....
Many thanks for that Garlin.
I have learnt something but it's a bit mind-boggling.
I've searched a bit now on Google and Wikipedia.
I have no social media apps but I do have Netflix and Prime....
Thanks, I get that now - but what is UWP ?
Next question - if the app that requested it is later uninstalled, does the rubbish stay behind ?
And if so, is there any way to know it's now...
Thanks for the lesson, but I got maths a-level too !
So I found your reply patronising and quite rude.
I will say, politely I hope, that you are offering opinion rather than advice.
Maybe...
202MB and 213MB respectively - hardly peanuts !
Identical apps on both machines so can't see any possible need for x86 on one and not the other !
I have two versions installed :
Microsoft Windows Desktop Runtime 3.1.32 (x64) AND 7.0.13 (X64).
Are both necessary or could I uninstall the older one?
Thanks for any help.
Windows 10 Home...
Thanks everybody.
I deleted the key HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Edge and all now seems hunk dory.
But I still don't understand where this policy came from !
NTN :-
I have done this and I followed the detailed instructions in your given link - with absolutely no effect !
Nothing has changed.
The Edge key was only in...
Thanks, but I already fixed it by the method in #2 and said so in #3 !
Why would I want to remove Classic Shell which sets up the start menu like Windows 7, which I prefer and have been using for...
Microsoft Edge states in settings "Your browser is managed by your organisation".
I cannot enable "Send Do Not Track Requests", for example - and some other settings.
I do not have an organisation...
Brilliant - many, many thanks Dalchina.
So simple but I never realised where the option was hidden.
In Windows 10 Home 22H2, using Classic Shell, my list of installed programs is in a strange order.
Single programs are listed, then a list of of folders, them more single programs, then more...
Callendar : Sorry for delay, been snowed under with other stuff.
Followed your last post, went thro' settings again but don't think I actually changed anything.
However, today I managed to...
Helmut : "I have cleared cookies and cache but that makes no difference and all my software is up to date." - see post #1.
Also "Presumably some hidden setting must have come into play that I am...
Callender :- That's all a bit technical for me, I'm sorry.
csun :- I will try that, I was thinking of scrapping KIS anyway.
This morning I was unable to log in to EE on Edge, said things not...
Here’s a really weird one for you that’s driving me bonkers !
I can log in on my Windows 10 (21H2) laptop to Easyjet with my username, password and booking reference – I am recognised and so is my...
I have been using a Chrome extension (in Edge) called Eversync (FVD Synchronizer) for a while now which will upload to a server or download from it or merge bookmarks - that's fine but you have to...
By Jove I have cracked it at last !
Those pages were listed in "Start-Up" in Settings, now idea why or how but managed to remove them.
I found this by accident when searching for "Suggestions"...
I mainly use Edge but every time I open Chrome it opens, as well as my home page (Google), two other pages that I have not visited for about two years.
I have deleted these these pages from history...
