Thanks for the reply. No, I really don't have a good reason to stay on v7 and in fact I decided to upgrade to v8 and all is fine.

I still have Macrium 7 free and it told me there was an update today (7.3.6391) but when I try to update it it wants to update me to Macrium 8. How do I get the version 7 update?

I just downloaded the Macrium 8 free edition from MajorGeeks, installed it and it is the free edition--no trial. So apparently they are now providing the free edition.
