Still a lot of work...I was going to do that yesterday afternoon but if I am moving those files anyway I would rather move to back up and do reset on...
Well there is an option in settings to do a wipe for personal use or if you are recycling the PC.
I chose to not keep files or do a low level wipe and refresh but instead deleted files and did a...
Well all seems good!
Didn't do a full format but rather a refresh, wiped all files and all is running great.
Better than before for a lot of my apps and everything is up to date with no conflicts...
10-4 man, after doing a clean boot and disabling ALL programs minus MS ones and still getting this issue, we know whose fault this is.
Well there are a few updates that allow you to uninstall.
The major one does not, most likely due to the fact that it could mess up your system hence a system restore would be the route you would...
And.....no change!
Same stink different pile
Just uninstalled all the Mar 15th and 14th updates in safe mode.
Will see what we get here.
Just did a Clean Boot, no change...still happens so that tells us it is 100% a MS issue. Thanks MS
...
Ugh...I need my PC working again.
I am just going to have to format, no one has a clue how to fix this and I have been at it all day.
What a waste...MS you suck.
I plugged in my headset and the drivers tried to install for it but they got just under a 1/4 of the way and then froze.
As soon as I pulled all my USB devices it finished installing quickly. ...
Well I thought it worked but then I realized it was just the same.
One thing to note is when my PC first boots and I login, everything works perfectly while it is starting up until something...
Running tweaking.com's repair software, it is almost done.
We will see if it does anything.
Oh ya, it is the update 100%...even though it passed through as completed and 100% just once tiny core necessary file was corrupt or incomplete and thus started a peristaltic reaction.
This guy too!!!

Did you end up reformatting?
Thanks for that Fly Agaric Bree!
After yesterday's update borked my PC big time I am worried about installing anything else.
Almost ready to give up and format...FML.
I do not see that update listed here either

I cannot get into Windows Update in Safe Mode with Networking, it just closes when I click on it and I will not be able to get into it if booted normally.
This issue is far beyond that simple route.
Windows thinks everything installed OK 100% so as far as it is concerned there are no issues.
Ugh...so many people I see!
And over months and months with the common issue being right after an update.
MS really needs to wake up and provide a fix for their update that says it was 100% when...
Looks like I am going to have to do a full wipe and reinstall. :(
I cannot even do the repair reinstall from a thumbdrive due to it telling me I have to reboot and initialize it from the desktop but...
Oh I would never do that.
1st thing this morning I saw the update, chose to install and it and restart and then left my PC for about 90 mins.
I came home and it was at my login, that is where it...
Well I uninstalled the update and restarted.
Once my computer restarted it showed an update processing that went to 100% went back to my desktop with the same exact issues and problems I went back...
You are playing on XBOX though, ya?
