I didn't save the file or take photos as I thought I was just looking for the bad ram. I'll need to replace it so does it matter?
That Crucial scanner is a great program.
Thank you so much for...
First module faulty, second good. Running on single stick now.

Thank you. It seems it was linked with the work I was doing to solve the BSOD. Strangely, I unplugged a usb hub on a hunch and that allowed me into the bios. I then used a windows repair disk to boot...
Okay, done. No BSOD. I'll run memtest tonight.
Thank you.
Could it be the usb hub causing issues?
On a hunch I removed a usb hub and straight away I could get into the bios. No idea why.
Used the iso and everything is back up and running. Could the hub be the cause of all of this?
I can't. It just stops at the bios splash screen and does nothing.
I did that but nothing happens. It just sits at the bios screen doing nothing. I can't access the bios.
I have a seperate thread in BSOD forum. As paart of fixing the problems I downlaod a memtest program and shut down my pc to run it. On startup the pc went to the bios splash screen (ASUS) and now...

Incidentally, still no BSOD. Close to a miracle.
I'm not sure what the above codes are for. I can see it says that files have been repaired.
Spotfix: I will run the next tests overnight as suggested.

Thanks Phil, I really appreciate that. Just had another crash after sending that file.
Will uninstall Avast and report back.
Cheers
My apologies, suffering from the old 'I know what I'm doing syndrome' rather than reading the full instructions.
Working fine now.

The bigger issue is...
