So... lens mm divided by 50 = magnification. I have a T41 with 18-135mm. 135mm divided by 50 = 2.7x
I have a tripod for the binocs. I don't have...

With my 10x42 binocs I can see at about that magnification, but I have no way to take pics. :(

Well, I have a cloud bank moving in, but I got to see the Red Moon for about 5 minutes. :-)
If you're out tomorrow night and have clear skies, you should be able to see Jupiter and Neptune due...
About 13 minutes to totality... REDness. :-)

I always had a warm spot for Newtonian Reflectors. Never actually bought one, or any telescope. All my money went to camera and darkroom equipment.:-)
