Well your machine - no. But you're OS; yes in a way. But it's always been that way. As I wrote earlier in this thread ....
The major issue is that users (especially power users) misinterpret...
Although I loathe Windows 10, I want to address a couple of points here about disadvantages:
Actually, that's pretty much ALL software now. The old model of selling a software package/license...
And oddly enough, the new MS Edge is being release for Windows 7,
Nope - I do not. And if Windows 10 fulfills that need for you, then that's great :)
Same here - I skipped 7 too. I went from 98 to 2000; then to XP and XPx64. Then Vista and Windows 8 (yes, as in the original) :)
And why is that?
We're running it at work. I think for me I'm not big on the UI appearance (the title bar and window shape look kludgy), and that Start Menu is really just a windowed start screen. So I think...
Damn! I wanted to find out what happened with this. It was almost soap operatic in nature.

I remember there was an older British forum member who was a huge fan of Edge *something like htconeuser, hctoneuser or something like that). I'd be interested in what he has to say about his...

I wonder if just possibly, that will mean less telemetry gathering and what now, since now Microsoft's focus is no longer private consumers. Will they perhaps try to reinvigorate Windows Phone, or...
Wouldn't XP still have a higher percentage than 8x, in the bar graph that EdTittel
I tell ya! The more of this I read, the more and more I'm glad to still be on Windows 8. Hate my version of Windows if you must, but it appears that I have more control of it. Wow!
But isn't Microsft eventually moving Windows to an entirely UWP environment? Wont the Explorer "desktop" shell be eventually disappearing?
I wonder why at this point that XP is inching upwards? It seems those that were destined to stick with it, have already done so. Hard to interpret the sudden rise.
You can actually enable servo and photon elements in Firefox 56, using about:config. It's quite a bit snappier, and it looks nice. Set layout.css.servo.enabled to true. I can't remember the...
I don't suppose anyone knows of a WebExtension to bring back a status bar and progress bar do they? :)
I am now on Firefox Nightly 58. Still seems to be working fine. Using multi-process appears faster on some sites (Like Google Maps)
What I have yet to hear is what Mr Alex will do to continue to update a post 57 Waterfox, after there is no longer XUL to borrow code from. Lots of possibilities discussed, but noting set in stone...
Those icons are reminiscent of the "Firebird" era (one of Firefox's working names during its early development)
That's the plan
